Welcome to my website! I hope you will enjoy visiting!
My work is primarily kiln fired glass with copper, aluminum, vanadium and other ceramic enamels that create a look of spontaneity and mystery. I draw figures from life and interpret them with the firing process. The metals and dry enamels are basically sandwiched between two or more layers of glass and fired in a kiln to about 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. For gallery purposes, I mount them onto glass in a frame.
My interest lies in being able to capture the emotion behind the drawing infusing the work with the person's nature and expression captured in the moment. It is also fun to work simply with colors and patterns to create something beautiful. I have been passionate about glass and glass art for many years and now have an opportunity to work with it full time.
